Cisco in the classroom

This week saw a team of five Cisco engineers, including three UTC Reading alumni, delivering the first in a series of practical sessions with current students.

Our students were given the chance to design, build and problem-solve networks, based on cloud and data centre topologies. Former students James Walsh, Israr Hassan and Anwar Whight were all excited to be back and helping our next generation of networkers to build on their skills.

Anwar said: “This is the best way to learn, and we feel like real professionals now our knowledge is being put to good use by making the classroom environment more relevant to what we do on a day-to-day basis at work with Cisco”.

Thanks to the Cisco team for all of their valuable support. We are all looking forward to the next Core Project next year – watch this space for more details.
