The UTC Reading Day

The timetable is slightly different for Year 10 and 11 students compared to Sixth Form students.

Year 10 & 11 day

Monday – Wednesday – 08:40-16:00

Thursday – 08:40-16:00 (Compulsory training and Development sessions from 15:00-16:00, additional optional time from 16:00-17:00)

Friday – 08:40-14:00

All Year 10 and 11 students have lessons throughout each day with a 15-minute tutor time to start the day along with a 20-minute morning break and a 40-minute lunch break.

Sixth Form Day

Monday – Wednesday: 08:40-16:00

Thursday – 08:40-15:00 with optional Training and Development 15:00-17:00

Friday – 08:40-14:00

Sixth Form students have lessons timetabled throughout the week. Outside of these times Sixth Form students are expected to work independently either in the UTC in one of our ILZ spaces or they can work outside of the UTC if they wish to (after the October Half Term).

The total learning time for students in a typical week for Key stage 4 students: 34 hours per week (including break and lunch times)
