Year 10 students look at engineering careers in the army

A team from The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) spent the afternoon with some of our Year 10 engineering students.

A team from The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) spent the afternoon with some of our Year 10 engineering students.

Alongside finding out about the different engineering jobs and career paths that there are in the army, students also took part in some fun activities and got to engrave their own dog tags!

The activities were designed to simulate tasks that REME have to complete as part of their jobs. This included building a tower to be able to fix a broken radio and a shelter before the weather takes a turn for the worse.

The activities highlighted how important skills such as communication and teamwork are to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

Many thanks to REME for coming in to talk to our students!
