Green meets Grey workshop

To celebrate Connect TVT’s Thames Valley Tech Week, Year 10 students took part in a problem solving workshop at Green Park.

To celebrate Connect TVT’s Thames Valley Tech Week, Year 10 students took part in a problem solving workshop at Green Park.

With their ‘grey’ mentors, our students were given the challenge of imagining Reading in 2050 and coming up with greener ways to improve the town’s infrastructure and transport issues.

Ideas included new road structures for bikes, more wind turbines and solar panels across the town and even hover boards!

The professional mentors were impressed with the students and how they threw themselves into the task and offered some real fresh thinking to the issues.

Organisers Connect TVT said the ‘students’ innovative thinking and enthusiasm was infectious and they were a credit to their college.’
