UTC Reading to host interactive events for budding programmers

UTC Reading has been selected to host some amazing Sage Foundation events this summer.

There are two free projects that will be open to young people interested in enhancing their coding and programming skills.

The Future Marker Lab project, held on 23 June, focuses on an interactive AI and Bots experience, with coding and AI experts sharing their skills and knowledge in order to discover the UK’s future inventors and tech leaders. The opportunity to win an exclusive work experience placement at a top tech company like Sage is also on offer!

This event is for young persons, 18 and under, with an interest in design and programming. This Saturday event will cover everything from the concept to the development of a fully functioning ChatBot, with the help of budding designers and developers.

To register your interest in this amazing opportunity to develop your skills, enhance your CV and get ahead of the rest, please visit the Eventbrite page.

The second project, Markers and Creators, held on 23 - 27 July, is a 5-day programme for 8-16 year olds interested in coding, robotics and electronics. Throughout the week you will create your own project, with the help of Sage mentors, before presenting at a Show and Tell at the end of the week.

There will also be the chance to explore BBC Micro:bits and Raspberry Pi's, as well as learn how to hack Minecraft using python!

There are limited places available for the programme. Please visit the Eventbrite website for more information and to register your interest.
