Year 11 Mathematics: Simplifying algebraic fractions (October 2016)

This lesson was part of the new Edexcel GCSE Mathematics syllabus.

Students were working on grade 8-9 questions on simplifying algebraic fractions, which is a very high level for typical GCSE students. The questions were aimed at helping to get them familiar with topics for A-level Maths, which will be a good first step for those who wish to continue with Maths in Year 12.

To assist with this topic, students are completing online tasks using resources such as GCSEPod, MathsWatch and ActiveLearn.
