Year 11 English: Speaking and Listening (February 2017)

In this lesson, students were preparing for their upcoming Speaking and Listening assessment.

Students were required to take it in turns to deliver a speech on a given random topic, so that they could focus on their presentation and delivery skills without being too worried about the subject matter. If they said "um" at any point in their speech, they had to start again.

The task taught them some valuable lessons including the importance of preparation before delivering a speech or a presentation, and the significance of body language as well as content of their speeches.
