Year 10 Physics: Friction and practical skills (October 2016)

In order to help them understand friction and practice using practical skills, students were tasked with carrying out an experiment around the UTC.

Students were instructed to drag a shoe across different surfaces throughout the UTC and measure the frictional force required to move the shoe, before analysing the results. The aim was to develop practical skills involving identifying variables, planning how to do practicals and analysing data.
