Busy start to 2015

Our first taster event of 2015 was a great success with potential Year 10 and 12 students coming along to find out more about the UTC.

Visitors were able to take a look around our state of the art facilities – including our new Fujitsu Innovation Hub – and get a flavour of life at the UTC from our students, staff and industry partners.

We also ran a Q&A session with some of our students and Martin Raines from CISCO and Dave Kilshaw from On-Systems. Here are a couple of video clips:

Year 11 student Yeukai talks about her decision to move to UTC Reading

Martin Raines from industry partner Cisco talks about why they support and work with the UTC

Dave Kilshaw from On-Systems on his experiences of working with our students

We are still accepting applications for both Year 10 and 12. Year 10 students need to apply through their home authority and Year 12 students through our website. Full details on the application process can be found in the ‘how to apply’ section.

Once we have received an application, we will arrange a meeting with a member of our senior leadership team to discuss the individual application, study options and career ambitions.

Our next taster event takes place on 19 March 2015 at lead industry partner Peter Brett Associates. If you’re interested in finding out more about joining the UTC, you can register your attendance through Eventbrite.
