Success at UTC Reading Post-16 Open Event
UTC Reading hosted a successful Post-16 Open Event last night for prospective students and their parents.
Visitors to the school had the chance to tour the state of the art facilities the UTC has to offer as well as speak to staff and current students, giving their accounts of their experiences so far.
Industry partners such as Network Rail, Thames Water and the IET were also available to talk through some of the projects students will take part in while studying here. There were also several activities taking place throughout the evening in classrooms.
The evening concluded with a talk from Principal Jonathan Nicholls, Business Relations Manager, Michael Halliday and Vice Principal Neil Pouney who discussed the differences between studying at the UTC in comparison to a more traditional education, the opportunities this offers students and the employer led activities students can get involved in.
Thank you to all those that attended the event and made it such an enjoyable evening.
