Applicants welcomed to exclusive PBA event
Students who have registered to join UTC Reading in September and who are interested in specialising in engineering were invited to attend an exclusive event with Peter Brett Associates (PBA), one of our lead partners, on Tuesday 25 April.
PBA are an independent practice of engineers, planners, scientists and economists delivering major development and infrastructure projects. They provide trusted advice to create value from the land and buildings owned or operated by their clients.
Visitors to PBA were given an insight into the different aspects of the company’s work, demonstrating potential exciting career opportunities available to students from UTC Reading. PBA also organised a series of teambuilding activities for the students who attended, including bridge building with coffee stirrers. While students were busy bonding over these activities parents had an opportunity to have their questions answered by UTC Reading’s Business Development Manager, Michael Halliday.
As well as supporting various large scale UTC projects over the last two years, PBA also offer work experience placements and apprenticeships to UTC Reading students. We are very grateful to PBA for delivering this event and we hope students found the evening valuable.
