Cisco careers opportunities presented to post 16 students
Last week, Nadia Farhan and Ellie Ulrich from the Cisco Apprenticeships Team visited UTC Reading to discuss careers with students.
Nadia and Ellie spoke to post 16 students during their lunch break about the Cisco apprenticeship scheme, internships during degrees and graduate programmes. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to ask questions and find out about potential options for them when they leave UTC Reading.
Ellie Ulrich, Apprenticeship Manager at Cisco, commented: “We were delighted to meet a range of post 16 UTC Reading students who were very interested in the Cisco Apprenticeship Programme and asked some great questions. Sessions like this highlight how valuable our partnership with UTC Reading is, as we work together to encourage more young people to pursue careers in technology.”
There was a lot of interest in the Cisco Apprenticeship Scheme from Year 12 and Year 13 students, and several have already applied. The deadline for applications is 10 March 2017 – take a look at the Cisco website for further information.
